The XF1 has four color options, in matte or glossy finishes including black, white, red, and yellow. Customizable front plates are available to order similar to front-pieces found on traditional or modern-style fire helmets. The MSA Cairns XF1 Fire Helmet has been certified compliant to NFPA-1971:2018 for structural firefighting and NFPA-1951:2013 for technical rescue.
