FDNY Super Pumper System (SPS) Spare Engine
Firematic currently owns the T18-37C Napier Deltic 18 cylinder opposed piston two-stroke diesel which was the spare engine for the FDNY Super Pumper System. The Super Pumper was used from 1965-1982 to supply large amounts of seawater when necessary for fighting fires. It was capable of delivering 8800 GPM of water at 450 psi.
